SPEEDING AND ROADS
A recent consultation on the Village Plan showed two major concerns. Firstly, the Tansey crossroad which is dangerous for vehicles and pedestrians, and secondly, the issue of speeding generally. The Parish Council has established good contact with Somerset County Council road engineers, and was about to undertake detailed discussions when Covid brought this to a halt. There is a very good prospect of establishing a 20 mph limit in Cranmore Village, but there is no immediately obvious solution the Tansey crossroad issue. The virus has also brought a halt to the Community Speedwatch activity, which in any case is limited by the Police to Tansey and Waterlip.
